The company continues to develop technology designed to make family life easier while helping build brighter financial futures. ## About the Role Greenlight is seeking a Software Engineer II, Frontend to join its Web Platform and Family Hub team. The role is focused on developing modern web applications and experiences, with an emphasis on Next.js and web platform development. The ideal candidate understands application design and development and is also interested in participating in deployment and operational phases of the software development lifecycle. You will contribute to technical strategy, architectural improvements, engineering standards, and high-quality web experiences. ### Technology Stack * React * Next.js * TypeScript * Tailwind CSS * Turborepo and other modern build tools * Cypress * React Testing Library * Jest * Node.js * Express * Kotlin * REST APIs * AWS ### Key Responsibilities * Lead the design and implementation of high-quality web experiences. * Translate mobile features and functionality into world-class web experiences. * Contribute to the technical strategy and vision for the web platform. * Establish and promote engineering standards and development best practices. * Mentor engineers and support technical growth across the team. * Manage technical debt and champion code quality. * Contribute to architectural evolution and long-term platform improvements. * Participate in deployment and operational aspects of the software development lifecycle. * Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable web applications. * Help improve the overall user experience across Greenlight's web products. ### Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. * 3+ years of professional software development experience. * Demonstrated track record of technical leadership. * Strong experience with React and modern web application development. * Experience with Next.js, Remix, or similar modern frontend frameworks. * Experience with modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices. * Strong understanding of frontend application architecture and development. * Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and technical stakeholders. ### Compensation and Benefits Greenlight provides a competitive, market-based compensation package that varies according to location, experience, and skill set. Total compensation may include base salary, discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, and a 401(k) match. Estimated base salary ranges include: * New York, California, and Washington: $122,000–$170,000 per year. * Colorado: $122,000–$145,000 per year.
